Tomato pickle tastes amazing when served with any breakfast items like upma,idli, dosa and rice..When I have no time to prepare Food I use to serve with Tomato Pickle.It tastes amazing When heated while eating. It can be Stored in Air- Tight container for about 3 Months. Prepare this on your Free Time and Tomato Season and Store it for Future Use.

  1. Wash 5 Kgs tomato and wash well. Cut into small Cubes as shown.
  2. Add in Cubed tomatoes to a Pan and let it Starts Boiling. Put it in a low Flame.
  3. Tomatoes get reducing and water will be fully Absorbed.
  4. Now add the reduced Tomatoes into a Jar and grind to a Smooth Paste.
  5. In a Kadai add Sesame oil and Add in the Finely Chopped Ginger and Saute well. Then Add in the Finely Chopped Garlic and Saute Well.
  6. Then add in the Asafoetida And dry Red chillies and Saute for a MInute.
  7. Add the Grinded Paste and mix well. Add Salt and Saute well till the remaining Moisture Gets Absorbed fully.
  8. Finally add in the Chilly Powder and Saute Well. Then add in the Tamarind Extract and mix well. Cook till the Extract Absorbed fully.
  9. In a Pan Add in fenugreek seeds and Saute till it Becomes brown in Colour. Then add in mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  10. Add the seeds to a mortar and Make a Smooth Powder.
  11. FInally add in crushed Powder and wait till Oil OOzes out.
  12. Tasty Tomato PIckle Is Ready. It Goes well with Rice, Dosa , Idli and chapathi.
Recipe Notes
  • Make Sure Water is Absorbed Fully.
  • Store it in a Air tight Container for About 3 – 4 Months.
