Tasty Kadai chicken is a popular recipe in Northern India and Kadai Chicken is a very famous non-veg delight in restaurants,This spicy & yummy North Indian recipe tastes juicy with distinct flavor of bell pepper, Whole spices ground to a fine paste and cooked with onions, tomatoes and chicken chunks of the bone – the final dish is wholesome and delicious. It tastes great with Indian breads like naan, roti, parantha, chapatti or even with plain steamed rice,Making kadai chicken at home is really easy..!

Instructions
  1. In a kadai add in Coriander Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Pepper Seeds, Dry red Chillies and Dry Kasthuri Methi and roast it in a low flame till you get nice aroma.
  2. Transfer to a jar and grind it to a smooth powder.
  3. In the same kadai add in the butter and roast cubed capsicum for 5 Minutes and set aside.
  4. For making Gravy, Heat oil in a kadai and add in Cloves, Cumin Seeds, Green Cardamom and bay leaves and saute for 1 MInute. Then add in the finely chopped onion and saute till it becomes translucent. Then add in the Ginger Garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
  5. Then add in turmeric powder, Required salt, Chilly Powder and Grinded Masala powder and saute well. Then add the pureed tomatoes to the gravy and wait till all the water gets absorbed well.
  6. Then add in the cleaned chicken and required water , Cover and cook till chicken becomes soft.
  7. After when the chicken is fully cooked, Add in the coconut paste and let it boil for 2 Minutes.
  8. FInally add in capsicum and let it boil for 5 MInutes. Garnish with coriander Leaves.
  9. Tasty Kadai Chicken is ready to be served with Rice, Dosa, Idli, Chapati or Naan.
Recipe Notes


  • Always wash the chicken well with turmeric powder as it takes off the smell from the chicken.
  • After adding coconut milk dont let to boil for more time.
  • If you like capsicum more you can also add every colour of capsicum and enjoy your colourful dish.
