French fries are very delicious, French fries are one of almost everyone’s favorite foods, also every kids love this so much ,French fries dipped in a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise are divine

Choosing the potato for your homemade French fries is a very important task. Of course, above all, choose an organic potato. But what variety? Russet potatoes give your homemade French fries a tender interior, much better than waxier varieties. The russet potato actually comes in several varieties, so you can play with different flavors to discover the one that you like the best. Here is an easy homemade French fries recipe try enjoy!!!

  1. Peel and rinse the potatoes. Then cut them into sticks by cutting the potato in 4 or 5 vertical pieces, and then cut each piece into sticks.
  2. Place them in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Repeat washing 3 times till starch gets removed from potato.Rinse them in colander.
  3. Heat water in a vessel,add sliced potatoes to it and when bubble starts coming switch off the heat,remove from water and place it a dry cloth or paper towel to remove the moisture from potatoes.Pac it in a Ziploc cover or a airtight container and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour take out from fridge and spread the slices again in a dry cloth or paper towel to remove extra moisture.
  5. Fry all the sliced potatoes in batches and dry it in a paper towel.
  6. After when it cools down fry the potatoes again till it becomes crispy.
  7. Remove from heat and dry it in a paper towel.
  8. Spread the salt and chilli powder mix on it.
  9. Tasty French Fries are ready.Serve it with sauce or tomato ketch up. This will be the kids favorite snacks in evening times.
Recipe Notes

If you made large quantity of potatoes, pack them in separate covers to make it on different days.Once if taken out of fridge it should be completely used. Refrigerating again makes to loose freshness of fries.

If you dont want chilli powder you can add only salt to it.
