Instructions
  1. To Make Chettinad Chicken powder heat kadai in a low flame,and dry roast Cumin seeds,Coriander seeds,Pepper,Fennel seeds,Cloves,Cinnamon stick,Green Cardamom,Star anise and dry red chillies.
  2. When they begin to smell good,Cool them and transfer to a mixer and grind it to a fine powder.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add lots of curry leaves to it which gives a unique flavour to curry.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off and then add small onions and saute till it become translucent. Add in tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy.
  5. Add in salt,Grinded chettinad chicken powder and turmeric powder and saute till raw smell goes off.
  6. Now add in curd,saute for 1 minute and add in the chicken.
  7. Add little water and cover and cook until chicken is fully done,soft and tender. Finally add grinded coconut paste and let in boil for 5 Minutes.
  8. Finally Garnish with curry and coriander leaves.Chettinad chicken curry is ready to be served.
  9. Serve hot with rice,Dosa or Idli.
Recipe Notes

Dry roast the ingredients in low flame otherwise it will get burned and it will not taste good.

If your mixer does not make it to fine powder without water,add little water and grind it to a smooth paste.The paste or powder should be very smooth.
